Far-right state government forces Austin to remove BLACK ARTISTS MATTER mural on E. 11th Street. These people are in power because so many registered Texans do not vote. This is how Abbot, Cruz, Paxton and others get into office. The removal of this benign artwork is maybe the least of our problems, but is indicative of greater injustices.

But we can stop them!

Make sure you're registered to vote! Here is link to Travis Country Election Board to register or check your registration: https://votetravis.gov/current-election-information/current-election/

Current State Representative for the 49th District Gina Hinojosa would not waste time and money censoring our art were she elected Governor in November. Please vote for her and support her campaign:  https://ginafortexas.com/

Current State Rep for the 50th District James Talarico has some very common-sense ideas to help Texas citizens and artists were he elected to the U.S. Senate in November and would prevent Ken Paxton from green-lighting more dumb ideas from the Trump administration. Paxton is particularly odious, perhaps he would be worse than Ted Cruz. Please please please vote and support Talarico! https://jamestalarico.com/

We can elect these good people into office if we get out and vote!
